FRISCO, Texas – Senior guard Porsha Roberts from Stephen F. Austin tops the talented list of players returning for the 2014-15 season, as noted with the release of the Southland Conference women’s basketball preseason teams by the league office Tuesday.

Of the ten spots between the two teams, eight players on the preseason teams we renamed all-conference following the 2013-14 season. Roberts along with Nicholls’ Emani White and Houston Baptist’s Shanice Steenholdt were selected to the first team. McNeese State’s Allison Baggett, Sam Houston State’s Angela Beadle and Lamar’s Dominique Edwards were tabbed second team while Northwestern State’s Keisha Lee and Southeastern Louisiana’s Nanna Pool were selected to the third-team all-conference.
