Offensive Player of the Week – Camille Bassett, Central Arkansas
Bassett continued her massive season, picking up her second hat trick of the season against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on Sunday. She opened the scoring in the 4th minute by finishing a breakaway on a pass from Ashley Smith. Bassett would strike again just 2:44 later, chipping it over the Islander keeper from the top of the box, before capping the hat trick in the 51st minute after winning a one-on-one with the Islander keeper. The hat trick pushed her lead in the Southland scoring race to four goals and put her on top of the league in points.

Honorable Mention: Leslie Snider, Abilene Christian; Haylee Atwell, Nicholls; Jordan Mulnix, Lamar.

Defensive Player of the Week – Kelsie Roberts, Abilene Christian
For the fourth time since the start of conference season, Roberts scored off a corner kick goal to give ACU a 1-0 lead over McNeese in the 48th minute of what would be a 2-1 win. Earlier in that match against the Cowgirls, she came up with a huge team save by clearing a Savannah LaRicci shot off the line with the goalkeeper out of position. Roberts also didn’t miss a minute of play as the Wildcats came back from a goal down to beat Lamar, 2-1, and held on to beat the Cowgirls by the same score. Lamar took only 4 shots for its entire match, while the Cowgirls only had two in the second half.

Honorable Mention: Katherine Kelly, Nicholls; Mari Gillespie, Stephen F. Austin.

Goalkeeper of the Week – Roosa Hurmerinta, Nicholls
Freshman goalkeeper Roosa Hurmerinta earned the first shutout of her freshman campaign by recording six saves in the Colonels’ 1-0 victory over Stephen F. Austin. She tallied three in the first half and two more in the second before Nicholls took the lead. SFA was able to get off one more shot in the final minutes, but Hurmerinta saved it to preserve the victory. The win over the Ladyjacks snapped a 12-match winless streak in the series.

Honorable Mention: Anna Hughes, Central Arkansas; Lillie Ehlert, Stephen F. Austin; Lauren Lovejoy, Lamar.
