SUGAR LAND, Texas –
No. 2 Southeastern Louisiana shutout No. 6 McNeese State 10-0 Thursday at the 2016 Southland Conference baseball tournament at Constellation Field.
 
Southeastern Louisiana’s junior right fielder Webb Bobo picked up two runs off of two hits with five RBIs in five at bats against the Cowboys. Sophomore right-hander Mac Sceroler threw eight scoreless innings to improve to 10-3 on the season.
 
After seven scoreless innings, Southeastern Louisiana junior second baseman Carson Crites singles the center field scoring junior pinch runner Ryan Byers while junior first baseman Jameson Fisher advanced to second base. Bobo homered into the bullpen for three-run home run. Junior third baseman Derrick Mount double down the left field line scoring junior center fielder Jacob Seward and senior catcher Sam Roberson for a 6-0 lead in eighth inning.
 
The Lions tacked on three more runs in the top of the ninth inning. Fisher picked up a sacrifice fly to score freshman shortstop Brennan Breaud. Bobo doubled down the right field line to score Crites and Byers. Bobo would score on a single from Seward to extend to a 10-0 lead over the Cowboys.
 
McNeese left six runners on off of five hits and one walk.
 
Southeastern advances to take on the winner of No. 7 New Orleans or a rematch against No. 6 McNeese Friday at 4 p.m.
