Lamar Forward Colton Weisbrod Claims Player of the Week Honors

2016-17 Southland Men's Basketball Week 11 Notes (PDF)

FRISCO, Texas
– Lamar forward Colton Weisbrod is the Southland Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week, presented by UniversalCoin.com. The Conference made the announcement Monday.
 
The junior from Nederland, Texas, recorded his seventh and eighth double-doubles of the season this past week.  He scored 26 points and pulled down 13 rebounds Wednesday in an 87-72 home win over UIW.  The six-foot, 5-inch Weisbrod followed Wednesday’s performance with a 21 point, 10 rebound effort Saturday in a narrow loss at Abilene Christian.
 
Weisbrod now has a conference-leading eight double-doubles in 2016-17, three of them coming in league play.
