The reigning Walter Payton Award winner put together a big day on Saturday in helping the Bearkats run their record to 8-1 with a 57-20 win over UIW. Briscoe completed 27 of 43 passes for 399 yards and four scores before being removed midway through the third quarter. He was just one passing yard away from reaching the 400-yard mark for the third time this season, but still finished with the 20th 300-yard passing game of his career. He now needs just three touchdown passes to join SFA’s Jeremy Moses and UCA’s Nathan Brown as the only QBs in league history to throw 100 career touchdowns.

The Lions came into the matchup averaging over 300 yards a game. Hill added 3.5 tackles for a loss, an interception and recovered a fumble. He played a major role in McNeese holding SLU to just 176 total offensive yards for the night and allowed just three points from a team that entered the game averaging 49 points a game in Southland action.

He is now 10-13 in his career on field goals of 40 yards or more. His 39-yarder in overtime gave Northwestern State the lead and in turn the win after ACU failed to convert on the following series.
