FRISCO, Texas – Houston Baptist guard Reveal Chukwujekwu is the Southland Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week, presented by
UniversalCoin.com. The Conference made the announcement Sunday.
Chukwujekwu picked up his 10
th and 11
th double-doubles (points and rebounds) to run the Huskies’ win streak to nine games. The 11 double-doubles are tied for most in the Southland this year (Rashawn Thomas, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi).
The Houston (Strake Jesuit High School) senior scored 23 points against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on Wednesday, matching a career high, to go with a game-high 12 rebounds and five assists in the 94-80 win.
The 6-foot-3 guard again pulled down a game-high 12 rebounds and dished five assists, while scoring 10 points Saturday in a 81-72 win over Abilene Christian in the regular-season finale.
