FRISCO, Texas – The Southland Conference announced the week three soccer award winners on Tuesday. Stephen F. Austin’s Hanna Barker was named Offensive Player of the Week, Lamar’s Marie Lund was voted Defensive Player of the Week and Lauren Lovejoy of Lamar earned her second goalkeeper honors of the season.

Stephen F. Austin next head to Las Cruces, N.M. to take on New Mexico State on Friday at 4 p.m. Lamar will face off with Texas Southern in Houston on Thursday at 7 p.m.
Offensive Player of the Week: Hanna Barker, Stephen F. Austin – Sr. – Midfielder – Farmers Branch, Texas
Barker scored a goal and added an assist for the second game in a row. She assisted on the first goal for the Ladyjacks and later scored what would be the game-winning goal on a penalty kick in the second half. Barker now leads the team with six points, all of which have come in SFA’s past two games.
Honorable Mention: Jordan Mulnix, Lamar; Amber Marinero, Southeastern Louisiana.
Defensive Player of the Week: Marie Lund, Lamar – Sr. – Defender – Bergen, Norway
Lund scored the game-winning goal in Lamar’s win at UTRGV and was also solid on defense as the Cardinals posted a pair of shutouts, holding opponents to a combined seven shots and three shots on goal. She was named to the all-tournament team at the UTRGV Tournament.
Honorable Mention: Rachel Palet, McNeese; Carli Arthurs, Stephen F. Austin; Megan Gordon, Southeastern Louisiana.
Goalkeeper of the Week: Lauren Lovejoy, Lamar – Sr. – Goalkeeper – Port Neches, Texas
Lovejoy earned her second weekly honors of the season, joining Lund on the UTRGV all-tournament team after posting a pair of shutouts against Arkansas-Pine Bluff (3-0) and UTRGV (1-0). Lovejoy has played every second in goal for the Cardinals this season, posting a 4-2 record with three shutouts.
Honorable Mention: Michaela Hawthorn, Southeastern Louisiana.
Southland weekly award winners are nominated and voted upon by each school’s sports information director. Voting for one’s own athletes is not permitted. To earn honorable mention, a student-athlete must appear on 25 percent of ballots.
