FRISCO, Texas – Houston Baptist guard Ian DuBose is the Southland Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week, the league announced Monday. Southland Conference Players of the Week are presented by MidSouth Bank.

In the Huskies’ conference-opening win over Lamar on Wednesday, he posted a career-high 33 points and added 10 rebounds for his third double-double of the season. The conference’s leading scorer (19.7 PPG), DuBose carried that momentum into a 22-point performance in an overtime loss to New Orleans on Saturday.

DuBose and the Huskies are back in action against Nicholls at 3:30 p.m. CT Saturday at the David R. Stopher Gymnasium, where the Colonels have won 15 of their last 16 since Dec. 16, 2017.
